hey todd, thanks for introducing me to your blog. I just got finished reading today’s post and a few others. I especially liked the post on my ecological footprint. After doing the quiz myself, I say you are doing well with 3 earths. I have to work on recycling more, as well as watch the meat I consume. I do use the right lightbulbs! thats a start. This is a great website you have created. I only wish I would have started reading it sooner. I am looking forward to reading more blogs! Tell Miss Rachel I say hi!! Hope you are doing well. I am going to boston to see RJ in two weekends, and im really excited. He is a great guy, as you know. Great family too… one more thing, I hope you don’t mind, I told a few of my family members about your website. I just think it is great! keep it up todd!
Hey Tom – On Wordpress you automatically have the blogroll. You just go to links in your dashboard and you can add others. A text widget would certainly work as well. What blogging software do you use?
I was just wondering if you have thought about this… when you have links in a post, sometimes a reader wants to go to the link, see what’s there, and then come back to continue reading. Or, a reader may want to read a few more posts at your blog before they head out to another site. One has several options… the one I use most is hold down the shift key and click the link — I am sure that there a few more ways to accomplish the same from a reader’s point. However, when I blogged, I thought about what I could do for the reader… so I made my links open in a new window. I think I did it in html, but I suspect that wordpress has the option to either check off something option for the link to open a new window or use a different linking option. That way, the reader won’t leave before they are ready to or at least you are not unintentionally helping them leave your blog
What a long way to explain myself! The most succinct would have been: would you mind making your links open in a new window? LOL!
Don’t mind me if it’s your preference to have them not open in a new window. I just thought I should check.
That’s a good suggestion, Steve. I’m not sure I know how to do that, but I’m definitely going to find out. I’ll work on it so I’m not kicking people off the blog! Thanks.
Actually, I figured out how to do it, and it’s a better way than I’ve been doing it, anyway. I will start doing that as of Monday. Thanks again for the suggestion.
Hey honey,
I’m sure you probably have reason for not doing this, but what do you think of having your email address listed under, Contact, being a hyperlink? I love hyperlinks!
Enjoyed your Scott Boras piece and your
friend’s “Man bites Health Industry” essay.
Terrific work.
I’m a free lance baseball writer waiting for spring.
Thnaks for making my day….
I want this blog to contain information and ideas regarding personal finance, investing, self-improvement, and maybe a little smattering of law. Feel free to let me know what you think of it by email or in the comments. I welcome suggestions for post ideas, factual corrections, or ideas about how to make this blog better. Please consider subscribing to my RSS feed if you have a feed reader, to email updates if you're willing to receive emails, or, at least bookmark this page and check back from time to time. Thanks! - Todd

Hi Jack, thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked the posts. Do you blog? It seems like something a freelance writer might do.
